Concrete Revolutionary
The book title Oscar Niemeyer Buildings may not resonate, but it should. Much of the 101-year-old Brazilian architect’s work is in media—sweeping modern expanses of concrete and glass—which should be instantly familiar to those of us who’ve ever attended a Long Beach City Council meeting, checked out books at Main Library or beheld the withered park atop it.
