Man hurt in scooter crash at MLK and 7th
A 20-year-old man suffered moderate injuries after his motor scooter became trapped beneath an SUV in a crash early Monday. The crash occurred shortly before 10 a.m. at the corner of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and Seventh Street, said Long Beach Fire Capt. Jackawa Jackson. Jackson said paramedics and firefighters were responding to call of a scooter-rider pinned beneath a truck when they found the victim lying in the middle of the intersection and his scooter crushed beneath the front bumper of a white SUV.
