New Lakewood wells will help filter trash
As much as 300 pounds of trash will be filtered from street gutters and ultimately local beaches annually, thanks to a pair of new tree wells installed in Lakewood. Rep. Linda Sanchez, Mayor Todd Rogers and L.A. Regional Water Quality Control Board Chairwoman Mary Ann Lutz will be on hand on Monday to dedicate two bio-retention tree wells that will clean stormwater runoff from Paramount Boulevard and surrounding streets.
