Ronald McDonald House to build facility at Miller Children's Hospital
Ronald McDonald House Charities has signed a letter of intent to develop a patient-family living facility at Miller Children's Hospital and Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. The planned Ronald McDonald House will have 25 bedrooms with private bathrooms, communal living and dining rooms, a kitchen and laundry facilities - all designed to provide the comforts of home, including playrooms and game facilities for children. The current Memorial Guest Residence building will be refurbished to create the new temporary, low-cost housing for families of seriously ill children receiving treatment, officials said Friday.
